On the banks of the serene Watts Bar Dam, Whitestone Inn is a tranquil, full-service venue that caters to every wedding detail. This photogenic 360-acre property encapsulates rolling grass hills, the crystal blue water of Watts Bar Lake, and lush pockets of forest, all held together by the palatial centerpiece: Whitestone Inn.
At Whitestone, each special couple receives a truly customized experience based on their individual needs. Whitestone’s wedding coordinator helps each couple choose floral arrangements and design a custom menu and wedding cake. Other services include videography and pre-wedding day massages. Innkeepers Paul and Jean Cowell strive to ensure that every Whitestone wedding is special and unique. They have spent years carefully crafting several beautiful venues to accommodate any wedding style.
The Chapel of the Good Shepherd is a medieval ‘Carpenter-Gothic’ style chapel, built entirely from timber. Up to 200 guests sit underneath a vaulted ceiling of cypress wood panels and hanging wrought-iron candelabras. Golden light filters in through the gothic and stained glass windows, creating a warm interior glow.
Outside, Watts Bar Lake and the distant mountains are a stunning East Tennessee backdrop for large or small wedding parties. Overlooking the lake, the bride walks toward her groom on a heart-shaped, hand-laid marble courtyard. As the sun sets, the courtyard takes on the color of the sky and evening wedding parties are painted in heavenly hues of pinks, reds, and blues. For more intimate weddings or rehearsal dinners, the farmhouse gazebo is an ideal choice. Positioned atop a shady knoll of towering oak and maple trees, the gazebo provides breathtaking views of the natural surroundings on all sides.
